How to do your homework on the organisation

• Visit the organisation’s website and search Google, or use one of the other search engines, to help you to find out more information. Don’t be satisfied with just looking at the organisation’s website, look at what other websites say about the organisation: have they received any awards recently; do they rank as one of the nation’s best employers; have they recently introduced leading-edge products; what’s their stance on recycling and reducing their carbon footprint; are they expanding or contracting; have there been any redundancies recently, etc. All of these questions and more will be answered when you use a search engine.
