Now you have decided what you are going to say, you can concentrate on how you say it. Transfer your introduction, key points (in the correct order) and conclusion on to postcards, using single words to act as stab points. Do not write a script, it will make your voice become dull and lifeless.

Now punch a hole in the top right-hand corner of each card and loosely tie them together with a piece of string. This will keep your presentation in the correct order, even if you drop the cards. When you deliver your presentation, don’t be afraid to glance at your cue cards. A momentary pause is far more acceptable than waffle or a deathly hush because you can’t think what to say next.
