Believe in ­yourself: the power of accountability

Many professionals struggle with accountability. No one really enjoys being held to account, because that opens up the possibility of being shown to have failed. But the best leaders do not run away from accountability: they lean into it. Accountability works in four ways for leaders:

  • Be accountable for what you do.
  • Control your destiny.
  • Control your feelings.
  • Believe in yourself.
