Imagine you are scrolling through TikTok and see one of your favourite creators reviewing a lipstick, giving it a glowing review. You would have traditionally left the TikTok app, Googled the lipstick and brand, clicked on a website only to see that the lipstick is sold out, returned back to Google and tried another website, clicked through to the product page, added to cart and then purchased the lipstick. You go back to TikTok and keep scrolling until you see another product you want to buy, and the process starts again. Each time you leave the app, it's a disruption to the browsing experience. But TikTok Shop changes all of that.

TikTok Shop is one of the most exciting things to happen to e-commerce in recent times. TikTok has made it possible for your audience to shop your products directly from the TikTok app without clicking through to a website.

A business can upload some or all of its products to TikTok. When a business uploads a video about a certain product, it can tag the product, so whoever sees the video can click on the shopping cart icon on the bottom of the screen and quickly purchase it. The key word here is quickly. TikTok allows viewers to shop with a few clicks without ever leaving the TikTok app.
