Preface

All around me as I was writing this book I found a rash of new books and talks on radio, TV and on stage about neuroscience and aspects of thinking. I read and heard about mindfulness, intuition, insight, systems one, two and even system three, and (extraordinarily) a child’s book. This was about a nit that enters a child’s brain and finding lots of unused brain space there has conversations with the child inside his head to change his focus and ability.

So thinking is the very zeitgeist thing and I was on that roller coaster.

What I’ve discovered is my life has been changed by thinking about thinking.
