3. What Is Value Investing?

In this chapter I will explain the basic principles of value investing and the techniques that value investors have customarily employed to produce valuations of individual shares and the market as a whole.

As part of this look at what value investing is and what value investors do, I will also explain why I consider growth investing – often cited as a separate approach, different from value investing – to not be distinct from value investing at all.
