When HOW was first published, I was conscious that the world moves faster than books. I wrote on this very page that the pages in HOW had only managed to catch my best thinking and the most current information at my disposal as of the moment we originally went to press. But at almost every stage of the writing process—draft, revision, polish, proofreading, and publication—and in the days and months that followed, our hyperconnected, hypertransparent world continued to add new dynamics and issues to consider. That is as it should be and certainly how it turned out to be. And undoubtedly how it will continue to be.

HOW is a lens, a way of seeing and understanding these changes as they happen. That's why I launched www.HowsMatter.com to continue the dialogue online on all things HOW. Many of the thought leaders featured in this book and countless others making Waves in this world through HOW have since contributed to the discussion.
