Interface groups

Interface groups are filters of interfaces by attributes (ifName, IP address, ifDescr, ifAlias, ifIndex, ifSpeed, and so on). Unlike node groups, interface groups cannot be grouped into hierarchical dependencies. Interface groups are created for filtering devices based on their hosted interfaces.

Interface groups provide filters for selective viewing of inventories and incidents, threshold monitoring, performance measurements, or defined targets for monitoring.

By default, NNMi has the following interface groups configured:

  • ISDN Interfaces: Includes multiple interface types known to be commonly used for ISDN purposes. Interfaces that meet this criteria within the management domain are automatically included in this interface group. ...
