Integrating NNMi with Northbound Interface

This section describes the integration of NNMi with third-party tools using Northbound Integration interface.

What is Northbound Interface?

NNMi can be configured to forward incidents to external management tools, for which Northbound Interface is used. Northbound Interface usually forwards NNMi incidents as SNMP v2 traps. So, speaking in general terms, NNMi can be integrated into any other system that has SNMP trap receiver.

How integration works?

Northbound Interface forwards management event and SNMP trap source incidents to a configured destination. Incidents are forwarded as UDP packets. If packet was lost, it will not be resent.
