Authentication
Basic Guardian authenticates a user by prompting a user for a userid and the password
for that userid when logging on to the TACL command interpreter. The password can
be up to 8 characters long, has no restrictions on value and is stored using a one-way
encryption algorithm in the system’s USERID file.
In the Guardian personality, a user attempting access to a file or process on a
remote node must pass at least three levels of security.
