Each type of object can be secured via Protection Records. That is, diskfiles may
be secured with DISKFILE Protection Records, VOLUME Protection Records
and SUBVOLUME Protection Records. Processes are secured with PROCESS and
SUBPROCESS Records.
This Protection Record determines:
Who can MANAGE the object, that is
ALTER or DELETE the object’s Protec-
tion Record
Who can ACCESS the object, that is
READ, WRITE, EXECUTE or PURGE it
Object Protection Records
Protection Records for the various types of Objects contain several common attributes.
