Telecommunications External Services
External telecommunications services include the various offerings from local telephone companies made possible by the integration of advanced switching and database management systems in the telephone network infrastructure. Caller ID, voice mailboxes, call blocking, three-way calling, call waiting, and emergency response systems are typical of the external services discussed in this section.
