HVAC systems require the settings of various components for proper operation. This section covers the various settings and configurations you will need to remember for the HVAC portion of the HTI+ exam. This section covers the functional purpose of zone programming, system programming, time-of-day programming, and seasonal presets.
Zone Programming
The difficulty of the family reaching unanimous agreement about a comfortable residential temperature can be greatly alleviated with the help of zone programming. For example, the six-zone controller shown in Figure 6.16 is capable of helping the family obtain different heating, ventilation, and air conditioning temperatures in different parts of the home.
