10BASE-T

An Ethernet specification defined by the IEEE 802.3 committee officially as specification 802.3i. The specification describes a 10Mbps wire speed using baseband information. The specification requires a star topology using Category 3, 4, or 5 unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cable.

100BASE-T

An Ethernet IEEE 802.3u specification utilizing a wire speed of 100Mbps using Category 5 UTP cable.
