advisory committee’s job to make recommendations to the ASN even though it
obviously should clean up its own back yard.
There followed a lengthy discussion on the use of the terms “mandatory”,
“routine” and “standard”.
– Expert C: Something has to be mandatory.
– Expert B: I have somewhat the same concern: something that is
mandatory must be well defined, and thus routine and standard.
– Expert A: I suggest removing “mandatory” from the first sentence and
“standard” from the second.
– Expert B: I disagree with both suggestions.
