Profile of Karol Górski’s
Personalistic Pedagogy

INTRODUCTION
The thought of personalistic education in Poland in 1918–1939 was characterized by an integral
approach toward man and his existence while it developed social questions. Karol Górski (1903–
1988) was a co-originator of this movement with his pedagogy inuenced by Thomistic and social
aspects. Even though Karol Górsky’s personalistic pedagogy is afrmed by educationists, a pre-
