Building More Personal Relationships

We ended Chapter 1 with the assertion that in today’s volatile world it is not possible to fully manage a situation all by yourself, because even with maximum situational humility, much of the information you require must come from others who hold the necessary keys or puzzle pieces.

Leaders need to build personal relationships that will make others feel psychologically safe enough to share their information and insight, in order that they might (1) help refine and clarify what will be new and better and (2) help ensure that the team’s plans can be implemented.
