The right introduction, the synchronistic encounter at Starbucks, the impromptu run-in. One connection from being discovered, plastered on the next magazine cover, poached by an all-star recruiter for a C-suite gig, and finding the investor who’s ready to write us a blank check.
Okay, maybe not so fast.
Sure, these are exaggerations, but we often view relationships this way: the grass is always greener. We must find the person who holds the keys to the castle, the gatekeeper to our potential. The one book agent, investor, or faculty member. The one reference on LinkedIn who can change it all.
