OpenStack Neutron provides networking-as-a-service to other OpenStack components and virtual machines. It allows OpenStack users to create and manipulate networking entities such as networks, subnets, ports, DHCP configurations, and so on. Different plugins can be implemented to leverage different networking equipment and software. This makes the OpenStack network deployment flexible.
