Anomaly detection in hyperspectral remote sensing images

Abstract
This chapter introduces the basic concepts for anomaly detection (AD) in hyperspectral images (HSIs). It first reviews the problem of HSI AD, then it follows with an in-depth review of the current state of the art. A set of reference methods, chosen to represent various approaches taken in HSI AD, is introduced from the theoretical derivation, then it is experimentally evaluated. The experiment investigates the qualitative and quantitative properties of selected methods based on several real-life hyperspectral datasets.
