IBM Cognos unveiled a variety of data import methods in recent IBM Cognos Planning versions. A new import method—Importing Data Using IBM Cognos Packages—was introduced in version 8.2. With IBM Cognos Packages, you can import data into Contributor and Analyst programs by leveraging IBM Cognos BI modeling toolsets.
