Working with modules in DB2

Modules were introduced in DB2 9.7, which provide a way to group together related database objects in a separate box. We can create a collection of different database objects and wrap them in a module. A module itself is a database object that can have different database objects in it. Objects that can be encapsulated in a module can be functions, stored procedures, user-defined types, and variables. Modules are typically used to group together the objects that serve a similar business purpose. For example, we can group together a set of functions and procedures that are useful for sales.
