In this chapter, we discuss the capabilities and the prerequisites of the GDPS Global - XRC offering.
The GDPS Global - XRC offering extends the benefits of GDPS to installations that have a requirement for extended distance remote copy support. However, it is important to understand that GDPS XRC is not simply GDPS Metro with a longer distance between the sites; there are more differences, which are discussed in this chapter.
