Chapter 14. Phases, Activities, and Milestones

The RUP process elements covered in this chapter use the UMA process architecture introduced in Chapter 4, “Basic Process Elements,” and align it with the RUP method content elements from Chapter 3, “Basic Content Elements,” to form a start-to-end lifecycle. This chapter takes a closer look at the delivery processes, capability patterns, activities, and milestones in the context of RUP. By the end of this chapter, you will have answers not only to questions such as, “What happens in RUP?” but also to the question, “When do things happen in RUP?”
