7. Select the Guest Operating System vendor and the corresponding Version. In our
example, we used Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 64-bit as shown in Figure 22-77 on
page 709. Click Next.

8. On the Number of vCPU, select 1 unless you are requiring Multi-CPU kernel (this has an
impact on the overall performance of the guest) as shown in Figure 22-78 on page 710.

9. In the Memory allocation window (Figure 22-79 on page 711), provide the guest with the
necessary amount of memory as required. Click Next.

10.In the Choose Networks window (Figure 22-80 on page 712), select the appropriate
number of Network Adapters that the guest will operate with (Default is 1). Select the
appropriate Network Label (ensure that the host is not overloading one particular
network), which can be the VM network that we defined in earlier steps. Click Next.

11.In the SCSI Controller Types window (Figure 22-81 on page 713), select the controller
based on the OS requirement. In our example, we select the LSI Logic SAS SCSI
controller. Click Next.
