14.5.3 Consistency Group drain time
Once the Consistency Group is established at the primary storage servers by establishing
corresponding bitmaps within the coordination time window, all remaining data which is still in
the
out-of-sync bitmap is sent to the secondary storage server using Global Copy. This
process is thus
draining the contents of the previous Consistency Group to the remote server.
This
drain period is the time required to replicate all remaining data for the Consistency
Group from the primary to the secondary storage server. This needs to fall within a time limit
set by
maximum drain time which may also be limited. The default is 30 seconds and this ma
