Installing Software
In this section, we briefly outline the key steps for installing the software in the Windows environment. The wizards are pretty straightforward, so we will not go over the individual steps. For specific installation issues, see the WebSphere Application Server InfoCenter.
WebSphere Application Server
To install WAS, you extract the installation files and then run setup. You then apply the cumulative fix and finally verify the installation. The steps are described here:
1. | Unzip the two ZIP files: ibmwas5_trial_for_nt.zip and messaging_trial_for_nt.zip into the same directory. |
