Chapter 13. Other Resources

We have dedicated entire chapters in this book to the more popular types of J2EE resources—JDBC for database access in Chapter 7, J2C for enterprise connectivity in Chapter 8, and JMS for messaging in Chapter 12. While not prolific enough to earn their own chapter individually, two other types of J2EE resources are important as well. This chapter will focus on JavaMail and Uniform Resource Locator (URL) resources. We will talk a little about their function, provide some tips for their use, and show how to configure them with the wsadmin scripting facility.
