WAS Application Clients CD
Client applications are designed to run remote from the WAS server—on remote servers or user workstations. Because there is no application server on the client workstation to provide the connectivity services the client application needs to converse with WAS, the Application Clients CD needs to be installed on the client machine. This is the case not just for the J2EE client, but for every type of WAS client application. The use of client applications to interoperate with WAS without installing the CD on the client is not supported.
