Chapter 25. Performance Tuning Tools
As with many of the subjects in this book, performance tuning is a topic that you could write an entire book on. In fact, many excellent books have been written on this topic. The focus of this chapter will not be performance-tuning techniques; you should refer to books such as [Joines 2002] for that. After a brief introduction to the performance monitoring portion of the WebSphere Application Server (WAS) runtime, this chapter will focus on using the tools that WebSphere Application Server provides for performance analysis and tuning.
