The zEC12 Model HA1 is designed to offer approximately 1.5 times more capacity than the z196 Model M80 system. Uniprocessor performance has also increased significantly. A zEC12 Model 701 offers, on average, performance improvements of about 1.25 times over the z196 Model 701. Figure 13-1 shows the estimated capacity ratios for zEC12, z196, z10 EC, and z9 EC.
