Server Time Protocol
Server Time Protocol (STP) provides synchronized time-of-day (TOD) clocks among several connected systems. zPDT GA6 (and later) provides this function for use among multiple zPDT systems. The zPDT implementation is not designed for connection to larger System z STP configurations. Figure 20-1 provides an overview of the STP function.
