zPDT commands

zPDT commands are entered as normal Linux line commands in a Linux terminal window. If zPDT is running (that is, the z System function is operating) then zPDT commands directed to the z System must be entered in a Linux window that is owned by the Linux userid that started the z System function.¹ This is not normally an issue unless multiple zPDT instances are running, each under a separate Linux userid.
