Chapter 10. Transform

In this chapter, you’ll learn several methods for transforming objects, including manipulating an object’s bounding box and using the multipurpose Free Transform tool, the individual transformation tools, the Transform panel, the Control panel, the Transform Each command, and the Transform effect.

Transform via the bounding box

One of the fastest ways to transform an object is by using its bounding box. With this method, though, you can’t copy an object or move the reference point.

To transform an object via its bounding box

  1. If bounding boxes are currently hidden, choose View > Show Bounding Box (Cmd-Shift-B/Ctrl-Shift-B).
