Bolle et al. [21,44] addressed the problem of the analytical modeling of the “personality”
of the texture of the iris as a biometric. Building on concepts developed by Daugman, they
considered the probability of binary values in an iris code and the HD between the iris
codes to develop an analytical model of FRR and FAR as probability functions p if a bit in
