Introduction

The iPad has given the world a new level of computing freedom by offering greater screen real estate and computing power than smartphones, coupled with a longer battery life and greater portability/packability than most laptops. The iPad is not a replacement for either but is slowly starting to fill a new place in most people’s digital toolbox for interacting with photos (and other media) while on the go or cozied up on the sofa.

The first iPad I purchased was for my son, and it was a huge hit with the whole family. Once I saw all that it could do for my photography, I picked up a second one for myself!
