3.3 Exposure control
Exposure is the amount of light that is allowed to reach the sensor while
capturing an image. In order to regulate it we may modify the aperture (vary-
ing the f-number) and/or the shutter speed (which defines the exposure time).
In photography, an exposure value or EV denotes all combinations of relative
aperture and shutter speed that provide the same exposure:
