Use shot lists and call sheets so that you can use your time most efficiently, ensure that you haven’t forgotten to shoot anything, and make sure everyone shows up when they’re supposed to. If you have thought everything out well in advance of the shoot—when you are not stressed or under pressure—then you don’t have to waste time making decisions in the middle of your shoot and risk rushing or running out of time. It’s great to be able to schedule an efficient shoot where people spend a minimal amount of time sitting around waiting.
