be prepared to use them in high numbers. Mice are fortunately
easy to breed. We will plan a colony of at least 50,000. Pathologist
and immunologists will look at acute damage to cells and
tissues, but all combined and considering 100 animals per
experiment and 2 experiments per researcher per week, another
50,000 per year must be programmed. We will invest a lot on
immunologists. In academia they have forever played second
fi ddle to microbiologists and pathologists and they feel ready
