A radio wave is an electromagnetic wave that is designed to carry information through the air over relatively long distances. These waves have a broad frequency range and are used in different areas depending upon the use of these waves. The use of these waves is regulated in each country depending upon the technology availability and the frequencies used by different communication mechanisms within strategic areas such as defense and telecommunications.
Radio waves, also known as radio frequency (RF) signals, oscillate at a very high frequency that allows the waves to travel through the air. As a thumb rule, lower the frequency, further, the wave will travel in the air.
