FlexConnect mode

In the centralized mode, the traffic from the wireless users is tunneled to the data center, where the WLC is located. However, some of the services are delivered locally at the branch office in an enterprise. Tunnelling traffic to a central site will mean that the traffic will have to come back to the branch for local services over the WAN, thus causing artificial congestion on the WAN link and also degrading user experience by causing additional latency.
