Password protection on wireless networks

We mentioned in Chapter 5, Understanding and Configuring Wireless Access Technologies, that the wireless SSID that is being radiated in the enterprise can be password protected. The SSID can also be hidden, so that only users who know the SSID can connect to the network. As a next level, the SSID is protected using password protection techniques such as Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), and Wi-Fi Protected Access version 2 (WPA2).
