The egress policy

The policy on the egress interface is created to classify and match the packets based on the DSCP values as shown next. Note in the following figure that we have matched DSCP values corresponding to CS6 and matched it to the voice class. This is because all packets generated by the network devices have the DSCP value of CS6, and this command marks these packets to get the LLQ treatment. In the absence of this command, the CS6 traffic would be matched to the default class and treated as best effort:
