7. Configure DirectAccess Geographic Redundancy

Where load balancing provides local redundancy and high availability , multisite DirectAccess provides geographic redundancy and failover for DirectAccess clients across multiple locations. If an outage occurs that affects all DirectAccess servers in one location—for example, a datacenter’s connection to the Internet fails—DirectAccess clients will still be able to connect to an entry point in another location.
