7.8 Using Take Actions
Take Actions allow you to submit commands to the WebSphere Business
Integration Brokers from the CandleNet Portal using the agent. They can be
submitted from situations, from the Navigator, or from a row in a table view. The
Take Action commands for this product are prefaced with the letters
QI.
Which users can initiate Take Actions is controlled by the agent parameter file at
two levels:
򐂰 Agent level: Using defaultTakeActionAuthUsers parameter
򐂰 Broker level: Using takeActionAuthUsers parameter
The default setting is for the agent level with defaultTakeActionAuthUsers=”*”.
This means any CandleNet Portal user can issue Take Actions for the agent. The
commands are executed within the context of the agent’s authority.
Table 7-4 shows the Take Actions provided with the product.
