Until now, I have always presented retrospectives as a tool for accompanying a process of continual improvement. That is mostly about making small changes that gradually improve the project process to bring projects to a successful conclusion. Sometimes, though, you don’t simply want to make a small change, you want to carry out a large change in the whole organization. That could be the introduction of a new process, the reorganization of the company structure, or other, similar large changes. In these cases, the realization of the change is its own project.
