At one point, I developed a household air conditioner that was on the
verge of going into mass production. A newly organized group of product
developers had designed the product and a newly assembled workforce
produced the air conditioner and its core unit, a rotary compressor, with
all new facilities. I asked the managers to develop and congure one new
test method a week to add to the generally acknowledged test methods.
About over 100 kinds of tests were developed on the compressors
