The Ericsson service development environment is a freely available development and testing environment for IMS applications, http://devtools.ericsson.com. It comes with an emulated IMS core running inside the IDE, which may be used to test IMS applications at development time. The following sections give an overview of the configuration steps required to set up the IMS core inside the IDE.
B.1. CSCF and DNS Configuration
By default the IDE is configured to use the domain name “ericsson.com”. In order to avoid conflicts with the real “ericsson.com” domain, we recommend using a domain name that does not exist on the Internet.
