About the Author
An author, teacher, manager, inventor and environmentalist, Upendra Kachru has over thirty years of experience in different functional areas in some of the top Indian companies. He was the first CEO of Maruti Udyog Ltd, and later served as the Managing Director of HP Pelzer (India) Ltd.
As an inventor and environmentalist, he has a number of patents to his credit in sustainable building design. He was honoured as the Environmental Fellow of ‘The Asia Foundation’. He was also a member of the Environmental Appraisal Committee (EAC) in the Ministry of Environment and Forests for new construction projects.
