3A LONG AND WINDING ROAD
You want something more. And I understand the struggle behind finding your niche, your purpose, your passion, and your place in the world, whether it's a career that energizes you, or an activity outside of work you feel driven to pursue. My own journey has been professionally itinerant, as I moved from sports to finance to tech to media and entertainment, before finally arriving at my summit: being a coach.
In each position, and with each step, I have looked to what I might be excited about, letting passion guide the way. I understood that there was something else I wanted—and needed—to do. There was still a different kind of impact I wanted to have. I felt very aware of my unrealized potential, though I wasn't always sure what it was.
During this period of awareness and examination, one constant was the nagging feeling that even as I succeeded in my current position, something was missing. Now, I don't regret any of those experiences. There was no time lost. Each stride was tremendously helpful in broadening my professional skills and deepening my familiarity with different kinds of people and environments. In truth, I needed to do all of those things before I could figure out what I truly love—coaching and engaging audiences for a living. As many of my clients can attest, sometimes you have to do a lot of research. You need to ask a lot of questions, and feel your way toward the answers.
